Since looking into and training in dermaplaning I’ve discovered this beautiful range of skincare products by Charlie Locks. It’s an aromatherapy based range, there are two main ‘flavours’; Rose and Neroli. They suggest that their products are mostly suitable for all skin types, so it’s down to which scent the client prefers!

They have a full range of products to use in salon or at home; Cleansers, Toners, Moisturisers, Serum, Eye Gel, SPF, Masks, Exfoliants. I’m using this range in my facials and myself at home. The products are gentle but effective. They like to keep it simple so that the client doesn’t get confused, and so that you don’t have to spend a fortune on a full skincare routine. As they are professional grade products a little goes a long way, and when you purchase through me you could get up to 15% off!
My absolute hero product in this range so far is their Exfoliating Cream.

It’s a grain free exfoliant, so suitable for sensitive skins, but also really compatible with an oily skin too – people don’t realise that often the scrubbing action will actually stimulate oil production! So with this product you apply to clean skin, and it kind of adheres to the top layer of dead skin. You pat it into the skin, and allow it to dry for a couple of minutes, then you gently rub it off the skin. It takes the top layer of dead skin with it, so your skin is left soft, smooth and hydrated, not red raw or stripped.
You can use it just where you need it, or over the whole face. Can also be used on chest, back, backs of arms, basically anywhere!
It’s a fab home care product between facial treatments, but you don’t want to use it within a week either before or after treatment. You can also use this a couple of times a week at home even if you haven’t had a facial – you’ll just have a few extra layers of dead skin to get through!
Another of my favourites is the Soothe & Smooth Pore Refining Mask.
It has Lemon to detox the skin, Sweet orange boosts radiance and is deeply cleansing, refining pores and softens blackheads. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the body and improves hydration in the skin. It stimulates collagen production and helps to maintain your skin’s elasticity and Neroli is uplifting and rejuvenating. It has a refreshing aroma and helps to maintain your skin ’s moisture level to create a glowing complexion.
I have used this just on my nose, or applied overnight to a single spot, and I use it all over my face at least once a week – My skin looks so smooth afterwards. You can use it a couple of times a week, and it’s dead quick to slap a bit on, leave for 15 mins and wash off.
