About Me

Welcome!

For those that don’t already know me, I’m Kate.

I’ve been in the beauty industry since I left school in 2001. I’ve worked locally since 2005, and I currently work from my studio in Halesowen.

I’m a perfectionist by nature, and I make it my main aim to offer the best service possible in a welcoming environment. I take pride in my non judgemental approach to clients, everybody’s welcome. Some of the treatments that I offer may make some clients feel embarrassed, but honestly, after all these years it doesn’t matter which bits I’m waxing, it’s all the same to me. Clients often tell me how at ease they’ve always felt, even on their first visit.

As a small company you can rest assured that your specific needs are considered at each appointment, so you can expect consistent quality treatments. To me, you’re not just another number; I like to get to know my clients’ likes, dislikes and lifestyle, so that I can give the best treatments and advice possible, for YOU.

I only use high quality products from reputable trade suppliers; this is to ensure that they meet my high standards and offer the results that we both desire. I also try to buy vegan friendly and from British companies whenever possible. In addition to this I regularly update my skills with training events all over the country, to make sure I am up to date with new techniques and treatments, and I’m always on the lookout for something better.

At your appointment I offer little touches to ensure you feel comfortable, and have almost every detail covered; even down to having things like disposable knickers, wipes, talc, deodorant and foot spray for you to use before your appointment to make yourself feel fresh and lovely! I also have a client bathroom for you to use, in case you’ve had a long drive 😁

As well as doing treatments for clients, I’ve been qualified to teach since 2007. I have taught in college, for companies and I’ve also had my own courses that I’ve written accredited. In 2021 I was selected to be part of the Expert Working Group tasked with updating the National Occupational Standards. These are the standards that all courses should be based on. This was a highlight of my career as it means that you are knowledgeable enough in your field to literally write the rules for the next generation.

In my free time I like doing crafty things, spending time pottering in my garden, and getting out with my dogs. I’m pretty handy when it comes to DIY and making things. I recently converted a van into a camper van so I love going off on adventures too!
