Before your patch test
Please attend your patch test appointment with at least 5 days hair growth in the area you would like treating, so that I can assess the growth thoroughly.
Ensure you have completed all consultation forms that have been sent to you.
Please get in touch if there is any reason you believe you aren’t suitable for treatment.
Before your appointment
The area to be treated must be clean and free from all topical solutions inc deodorant and moisturiser.
Please shave the area 2-12 hours prior to each treatment. Shaving immediately prior to treatment may cause extra sensitivity to the skin.
(However please leave 5 days growth for your patch test appointment only)
Tanned skin cannot be treated. Therefore, avoid UV exposure to the area being treated for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Tanned, sensitive or sunburned skin will not be treated.
Use SPF50+ on the treated areas if exposed in daylight hours, even in winter.
The use of self tanning products must be discontinued in the area to be treated at least 4 weeks before treatment.
You must avoid bleaching, plucking or waxing hair to be treated for (at least) 6 weeks prior to treatment and do not wax, epilate, pluck or remove this hair by any other means than shaving during the course of the treatment.
You must avoid the use of essential oils for 48 hours prior to treatment.
Do not use depilatory creams in the area to be treated for at least 1 week prior to treatment.
Do not use any products in the treatment area that contains AHA, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Retinoic Acid (e.g. Retin A) for 7 days prior to treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores in the treatment area you may take your usual medication 5 days before and 5 days after treatment.
If you have been on antibiotics, we ask that you leave 2 weeks between finishing the course and having treatment to avoid light sensitivity issues
After your appointment
In the unlikely event you experience any redness or swelling after your treatment, apply a soothing lotion such as aloe vera or cool compress at home if required.
We advise that you do not shave or apply deodorants /perfumes to the treated area for 24-48 hours post treatment.
We advise that you avoid very hots baths, saunas, hot tubs/jacuzzi, massage treatments or athletic activities for 2-3 days after treatment.
Your skin may have increased sensitivity to the sun and we recommend that you use a factor 50+ sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area and sunbeds for at least 14 days after your treatment.
If you experience itching in the treated area, avoid scratching the skin. Apply a cool compress or some cooling Aloe Vera gel.

We recommend that you always maintain a good skincare routine with weekly exfoliation and daily hydration.
Do not wax, epilate, tweeze or bleach any hair in areas being treated with laser between appointments. SHAVE ONLY.
You may exfoliate gently (I recommend A Bit Of Rough exfoliating cloths or Eve Taylor Exfoliating Mousse for body, available in salon) from 3-5 days after laser treatment.
Waxing
Before your appointment;
- Please exfoliate daily for 3 days prior to your appointment on any body areas to be waxed. I recommend A Bit Of Rough wash cloth, which you use with your normal shower gel or Eve Taylor dry body brush, which you use on dry skin before your shower, or even if you’re not showering. Available to purchase from me.
- Please don’t apply heavy oil based creams/ body butters to your skin on the day of your appointment, such as cocoa butter or coconut oil. It creates a slippery layer on the skin which means the wax doesn’t apply very well leading to poor results.
- Please avoid sweating, heat or prolonged water exposure for at least 6 hours prior to your appointment, ie hot showers and baths, sauna, steam etc.
- Please avoid sunbeds and sunbathing for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- If you have sunburn, peeling or broken skin in the areas to be waxed you will be refused treatment.
- Please ensure you have enough hair growth to wax, generally 5-6mm (approx 3-4 weeks) at a minimum.
- Are you on acne medication or using topical acne medication or steroid cream (usually for eczema) in an area to be waxed? You can’t have waxing for at least 6 months after using either of these.
After your appointment;
- Avoid hot water, swimming, exercise, sauna and steam for 24 hours.
- Avoid perfumed products, body creams and deodorants for 24 hours.
- Please avoid sunbeds and sunbathing for at least 24 hours after your appointment.
- Be gentle with freshly waxed areas.
- After the first 24-48 hours exfoliate the area at least every other day, but daily if you can. A Bit Of Rough wash cloths make exfoliating super easy as you just use them in the shower with your normal shower gel.
- After the first 24-48 hours you can use Aloe Clear daily (Available from me) to help treat and prevent ingrown hairs. Also works brilliantly on spotty areas in general!
- For best results schedule in your next wax for around 4 weeks time.
Gel Polish on fingers
Before your appointment;
- Please give your hands and nails a good clean and scrub before your appointment.
- If you aren’t booked for removal at your appointment please ensure you have removed your gel polish safely and properly or contact me to see if it can be added onto your appointment.
After your appointment;
- Apply Cuticle Oil to the whole nail and cuticle area daily, including under the nail tip edge.
- Wear gloves for any household or garden chores, protect your nails from water and cleaning chemicals.
- Please avoid prolonged water exposure as this can cause lifting and peeling of gel polish.
- Do not use your nails as tools, don’t pick things with them. Most chipped nails come from picking at something.
- Do not pick or peel your gel polish off as it damages the nails – I will know if you have!
- Sellotape is the devil… get yourself a tape dispenser so you don’t have to pick the end of the tape.
Gel Polish on toes
Before your appointment;
- Please give your feet and nails a good clean and scrub before your appointment.
- If you aren’t booked for gel polish removal at your appointment please ensure you have removed your gel polish safely and properly, or contact me to see if it can be added on.

- Use your Footlogix foot file once a week or as necessary after a bath or shower to remove rough, dry skin.
- Do not pick or peel your gel polish off – I will know if you have!
- For best results rebook every 4-6 weeks.

- Please don’t use any exfoliating/resurfacing products, retinol or AHAs/BHAs for 7 days prior to treatment.
- Dermaplaning and Peels must not be booked any later than 2 weeks before being in the sun (ie holiday), as you are at an increased risk of burning and pigmentation. Please have your SPF30 (min) ready to use following your appointment, I can’t stress how important this is.

- Please don’t use products with Retinol or AHAs/BHAs for minimum 7 days after treatment.
- Mineral make up can be applied straight away, other make up is best left til the following day. Whichever it is please…
- CLEAN your makeup brushes/tools before using them after your treatment. They should be being cleaned at least every couple of days anyway!
- Clean your phone screen (and your work phone) and change your pillow case for a nice clean fresh one. Just think anything that has contact with your face must be clean.
- If you have any other facial treatments before or after seeing me please advise me prior to your appointment. As you may over stimulate your skin and result in an adverse reaction. If you are having a facial as a one off you may resume normal activity after 7 days.
- For some clients your skin may look or feel a little sensitive after your treatment. Any redness or tingling will usually subside by the end of the day. It is just a temporary reaction from the stimulation of the treatment.
Depending on your skin type it is recommended to have facials every 4-6 weeks, or occasionally some conditions may be treated weekly or fortnightly as an intense course.
Lash Lift & Brow Lamination
Please note: results can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type and condition of the natural hair. The chemicals used are very strong so we always proceed with caution so as not to damage hair. This can, on the odd occasion, result in a lash lift that’s not as dramatic as the client had hoped for. We can’t further process the lashes in the same appointment, but on the next appointment alterations can be made to give a better lift. Take a look at my Instagram page for some real life results pictures.

After your appointment;

- Do not vigorously rub or play with your lashes/brows, ever!
- Brush lashes/brows through every time you cleanse your face/eyes.
Lash and Brow Tint
